Classification the Rangeland Habitat of Verbascum songaricum schrenk Using Cluster Analysis Method

Abstract

The main purpose of this research is to classification the rangeland sites of Verbascum songaricum schrenk and determine qualitative indices of the species which can separate this sites by cluster analysis. In this study, species were collected from 5 of its settlements, Howz Vally, Gahiz, Semeiroom entrance and Ghadam palace in Isfahan province as well as Dena place in Kohgiloye – Boyer Ahmad province . To identify secondary chemical components, in flowering stage, Verbascum songaricum were collected and dried in shade and digestion method was used for juice extraction and GC/MS set for the secondary chemical components.. According to qualitative indices Verbascum songaricum, cluster analysis of rangeland sites were done. After standardization, analysis of data was done with PC-ORD version 4/17 software and results were exhibited by classification tree..The investigation was carried out in a completely randomized design (one way ANOVA Duncan test) to determine the role of qualitative indices in classification tree.According to dendrogram obtained from cluster analysis, 3 rangeland sites were separated through 68.5 percent, 71.5 percent and 63 percent similarity level based on the secondary chemical compounds extracted from its flowers, leaves and stem. Overall, the results of current study show that the cluster analysis method has a high accuracy and this method could be investigated plant indices in appropriate manner and determine indices which can cause of split these sites.
