Effect of different treatments on the recovery characteristics of germination
Abstract
Prspopis Juliflora and acacia Acacia victoriae species of precious and semi-arid and arid regions that are compatible with wood and charcoal production, soil conservation, forage production and medicinal value are very important and acacia, and stimulated their germination has been studied. Treatments used to overcome seed dormancy were treated with concentrated sulfuric acid 98% (H2so4), 15 min, treated with dilute sulfuric acid 50% (H2so4), 15 min, 15 min hot water treatment, combined treatment consisting of sulfuric acid treatment plus cold and hot and cold water treatments. The comparison of distilled water was used as control. Research in a completely randomized design with six treatments and four replications. The results of analysis of variance and Duncan test revealed significant differences in germination was obtained from the treatments. The highest germination of mesquite plants (Prspopis Juliflora) and acacia (Acacia victoriae), respectively, in the treatment of 98% concentrated sulfuric acid and hot water treatments, respectively. The results indicated sulfuric acid and hot water treatments plants, mesquite and acacia, respectively, for the best and most easy method is to stimulate germination.
